Port of Kokkola

Description of the E-Crane The Port of Kokkola’s favourable location in mid/west Finland makes it a very well-known harbour with good connections to other parts of Finland, both by road and rail. After extending the ‘Deep Port’ quay, it was decided to purchase a new E-Crane Model 17359 GA-E to increase the Port’s loading and unloading capacity. The main reason for choosing this type of crane is the fact that this hydraulic balanced crane can operate with utmost precision plus the high transloading capacity. Capacities of 700-1000 tons per hour can be reached. Furthermore the low energy...

River Metals

Description of the E-Crane End 2007, River Metals Recycling replaced several conventional material handlers by the 1000 Series E-Crane®, that is now feeding the world’s largest shear: the 3000 ton Henschel scrap shear. RMR believes in protecting the environment and it was with this goal in mind they opted for the E-Crane®. The E-Crane® is...

Cargill Schelde-Natie

Description of the E-Crane Schelde-Natie realized a new offloading project in the port of Antwerp in cooperation with Cargill. The goal is to discharge 575,000 tons of oilseeds per year. In order to achieve this goal, Schelde-Natie replaced an existing grain elevator with an Equilibrium crane to offload vessels and a “bulk-flow” system to discharge rail cars. After careful study of the options and excellent references for the E-Crane®, Schelde-Natie contacted E-Crane®. Another plus for E-Crane® is the fact that two E-Cranes are operating successfully since September 2000 at...

CCB

Description of the E-Crane Faced with increasing repair costs, poor reliability and low productivity, the CCB Company needed a new way to handle material. Changes had to be made in a short period of time to stay operational and reduce costs. The E-Crane® not only offloads barges and feeds several hoppers, but the increased reach and stock-out capacity eliminates the need for additional hoppers and conveyor belts. This crane is mounted on a low portal on crawlers allowing the crane to work and maneuver in narrow spaces in the yard and along the dock. The crane has been in service for...
