Galloo-Gent is believed to be the only company in the world using two massive 430-tonne E-Cranes to sort and load scrap metal, writes Steven Vale. With subsidiaries in France and the Netherlands, an increasing proportion of the 1.7 million tonnes of scrap metal handled each year by the Galloo Recycling Group ends up in Belgium for export. E-Crane is heating up South-America

3 New E-Cranes Installed in South America in late Summer E-Crane has had a very busy end to the summer with three new E-Crane installations taking place back to back in South America.  All three cranes are being used for grain handling operations at facilities located in Argentina.  One E-Crane is installed at CHS, Inc. to unload Mississippi and Paraná sized barges into a hopper nearby on the dock.  The other two new E-Cranes are installed together on a single barge at a UABL facility.  The barge acts as midstream transfer system to move grain from material barges to...

New record at E-Crane: 6 Cranes loaded onto one single ship.

Adegem, July 2014: It was a very busy start of the year at the E-Crane Worldwide assembly facilities. Many orders were received from both Europe and the US. However, Asia did even better with 6 cranes in total. It was a long ‘sprint’ to get all these projects assembled and shipped on time to our customers. Especially the 6 E-Cranes for the Asian market (5x 700 Series and 1 x 1000B Series E-Crane) took a major logistical effort as these cranes all had to be loaded onto one and the same vessel at the port of Antwerp by mid June 2014 The complete upper revolving structures were assembled...
