Local Press: Shipping Out!

From the Saturday June 12 edition of the Charleston Gazette… The E-Crane™ is making big news in Charleston

Jean-Marie Verschoore and Bob Flintack fill counter-balance weights with cement as a large hydraulic crane is prepared for shipment from Port Amherst to Maysville, Ky. The crane was shipped from Antwerp, Belgium, where it was made, to Baltimore, Md., then trucked to Port Amherst in 20 pieces. Amherst industries personnel helped manufacturer’s representatives re-assemble the crane into four parts for barging down the Kanawha and Ohio rivers to Maysville, where it will be assembled on a river pier cell and used to offload coal barges at a Massey Industries dock to fuel a lime kiln operation

Mark Osborne, PE of ECI-USA added: “The day before, we had people from the Westy Virginia Port Authority visiting/taking video and asking questions … this information will appear in a television documentary concerning international commerce!”
