CCB

Description of the E-Crane

Faced with increasing repair costs, poor reliability and low productivity, the CCB Company needed a new way to handle material. Changes had to be made in a short period of time to stay operational and reduce costs.

The E-Crane® not only offloads barges and feeds several hoppers, but the increased reach and stock-out capacity eliminates the need for additional hoppers and conveyor belts. This crane is mounted on a low portal on crawlers allowing the crane to work and maneuver in narrow spaces in the yard and along the dock.

The crane has been in service for 4 years. Mr. Deceur recently looked back on his decision and stated:

The excellent reliability and performance of the E-Crane® has helped us to reduce cost and increase the capacity of our terminal
