In 2012 E-Crane saw another great year for new orders. GenOn Energy, Inc. purchased a 700 Series / Model 4248 E-Crane for their plant in Newburg, Maryland. GenOn is an energy company that provides electricity to customers throughout the United States. The new 700 Series E-Crane will be used to unload gypsum brought in by rail cars  The gypsum will be deposited into a hopper where the material will be transported back to the plant by conveyor. The 700 Series, model 4284 has an outreach of 24,7m (81ft) and a duty cycle capacity of 5,5 Mtons (6.0 UStons).
