Phoenix Services and E-Crane: a perfect match and a team that ‘Creates Solutions’

Erection of the second E-Crane is almost complete. By the end of 2013, both cranes will start working side-by-side and this for many years to come.

November 18th, 2013: Phoenix Services and E-Crane have one thing in common: both companies create solutions. We don’t dwell on problems but we solve problems by listening to and working with our clients!

At E-Crane, it is all about creating solutions for our customers. E-Crane has always been the first to offer powerful solutions to our customers worldwide. When it comes to ‘Scrap Catering Solutions’ inside steel mills and larger scrap yards, E-Crane has been leading the way for more than 15 years.

Also ‘Phoenix Services’ provides technical support to “World Class” steel mills. Phoenix offers experience and innovation in the fields of slag processing and slag handling and develop cost-effective, state-of-the-art material handling solutions for the steel industry worldwide.

E-Crane and the ‘ArcelorMittal Galati’ project

The ArcelorMittal steel mill at Galati is Romania’s largest steel work, and forms an important part of the city’s economy. As part of further optimization, the focus has been on improving the material flow of the scrap. Using E-Crane technology, Phoenix Services is currently transforming the numerous wide-spread Galati scrap yard operations into one cost-efficient, centralized scrap catering operation.

E-Crane’s senior service engineer, Mr. Willy Van Deynse, has been leading the erection for about 5 weeks now. Recently Willy reported that the mechanical assembly of the ‘second crane’ was safely completed. For sure an important milestone! More engineers will join our team on site in the next weeks for fine tuning and training. Start-up of the scrap catering is scheduled to take place well before the end of the year.

At E-Crane, we are very much aware of the fact that there are many choices for scrap handling cranes. E-Crane is honored to be selected to supply the scrap handling cranes and we are proud to be part of this important project!
