‘’Vroeger...

Found on the Web: Beelman River Terminals

In the spring of 2001, Beelman River Terminals began offloading operations at their new terminal in Venice, IL. which is situated on the east bank of the Mississippi River just north of St. Louis. The crane was engineered specifically for the Beelman facility and is mounted on a 4-legged pedestal directly to 4 piles. The receiving hopper is barge mounted and captive between dolphins. This design allows for a full range of river levels without effecting the unloading cycle time. The E-Crane is working every day offloading direct to trucks – and even with 5 trucks making round trips...

Found in the new Blue Fuchs brochure: E-Crane the Original Balanced Crane

E-Crane the Original balanced crane, built to optimise your logistics Lower energy consumption means lower costs. E-Crane’s balanced design drastically reduces horsepower requirements and saves energy. With traditional hoisting machinery, the payload, working tool and steel construction have to be raised. But the E-Crane’s  balance compensates for all but the payload resulting in important energy savings. E-Crane have been doing things quite differently for the last 25 years. Utilising the principle of equilibrium, where the stick is connected to the rotating counterweight...

SETTING THINGS STRAIGHT: Why Swing Bearing Selection is CRUCIAL for Long Life

It has been mentioned that E-Crane® uses “Single Row Ball Slewing Rings” by our friendly competition. Let us set the record straight and give you some genuine information on “Slewing Rings” used by E-Crane®. The single row ball configuration with four point contact raceways is a commonly employed slew bearing for cranes and some material handlers. This design does not meet the E-Crane® standards! Therefore E-Crane® only uses ‘Roller Slewing Rings’ with a line contact between roller and raceway. First of all, the slew bearing is the most fundamental mechanical element of a crane, excavator...

Found in The Magazine DCI: “All at sea? Shipboard and floating cranes”

Repeat order proves worth of barge-mounted E-Crane at Mulzer Crushed Stone   After three years of successful operation of its 1500 Series barge mounted E-Crane, Mulzer Crushed Stone ordered its second barge-mounted E-Crane in 2014 for its Shamblin Stone operation in Dunbar, WV, USA. This machine is used for unloading barges of aggregate. The E-Crane unloads the material directly into a hopper, located on an adjacent barge to the E-Crane barge. Because the E-Crane is barge-mounted, Mulzer has the flexibility to transport the entire barge unloading system to wherever it needs...
