CARI-ACIR

June 20-22
Marriott Harbourfront Hotel
Halifax, N.S. Canada
TABLE #6

This year marks the 72nd annual convention for the Canadian Association of Recycling Industries (CARI), a branch of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI).  The convention focuses on scrap recycling and is aimed at improving and promoting the scrap industry.

The theme of the convention this year is the “Sea of Opportunity”. Canada has always relied on the United States for export and imports and has never been a completely self-contained scrap industry. Therefore Canada must look across the seas to continue to develop and expand its business. This theme will be a focus of the convention and will be the topic of the keynote speaker, Joe Clark, a former Canadian prime minister.

2013 will be the second consecutive year that E-Crane has attended the conference. There is currently a rail mounted 2000 Series / Model 21382 E-Crane in operation in Nova Scotia at Nova Scotia Power.  E-Crane is hoping to promote its products to the Canadian scrap industry to continue expanding further into the Canadian market.
