E-Cranes for Bangladesh

On the 4th of August 2010 the MV ATLANT REGINE left the port of Antwerp with on board 3 700 Series E-Cranes with final destination the Port of Chittagong.

The REGINE’s voyage will take it through the Mediterranean on to the Black Sea, Suez Canal, Saudi Arabia and ultimately India and Bangladesh. When the 7.912 DWT reaches Chittagong according to schedule on 27 September 2010 the 3 E-Cranes will be transferred to 3 locations around Dhaka by local vessels.

These 3 E-Cranes will be installed at facilities all owned and operated by existing E-Crane clients: City Group, Meghna Group and Akij Cement. For Meghna Group and City Group this marks the 3rd E-Crane delivery and for Akij it is the second unit delivered.

The installation process will be supervised by experienced E-Crane erection supervisors assisted by Maple Leaf International’s personnel. Maple Leaf is E-Crane’s local agent for Bangladesh, as well as the respective clients. About 10 days later 3 additional E-Cranes will join the fast growing E-Crane population in Asia.

E-Crane Worldwide and Maple Leaf International would like to take this opportunity to thank management and personnel of City Group, Meghna Group and Akij Cement for their continued confidence in our E-Crane Product Line.
